Training

Vitalité Health Network is affiliated with the Université de Sherbrooke and the Centre de formation médicale du Nouveau-Brunswick at the Université de Moncton. The Network helps train Francophone physicians and many other health professionals.

The Network also works with secondary schools, colleges and universities within New Brunswick and elsewhere in Canada. Every year, the Network hosts nearly 2000 practice or observation placements

 

Clinical placements

The Network offers students diverse educational placements in various fields, including:

  • Nursing;
  • Rehabilitation;
  • Pharmacy;
  • Radiology;
  • Other professions and technical fields.

To request a placement:

  • Students must contact the placement coordinator for their educational institution;
  • Placement coordinators in schools, colleges and universities are asked to write to formation.training [at] vitalitenb.ca.

It is strongly recommended to apply at least three months in advance. It should be noted that placement availability is subject to the Network’s intake capacity at any given time.

 

Non-clinical placements

The Network also offers students placement opportunities in non-clinical sectors, including:

  • Administration;
  • Office work;
  • Trades.

Medical internships and residencies

Vitalité Health Network is affiliated with the Faculté de médecine et des sciences de la santé of the Université de Sherbrooke and the Centre de formation médicale du Nouveau-Brunswick.

The Network offers internships to medical students from Canadian and international universities, including:

  • Medical student internships;
  • Medical residencies;
  • Optional electives.

To apply:

  • Medical students are invited to use the student portal of the Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada (www.afmcstudentportal.ca);
  • They may also contact the placement coordinator for their educational institution.
