Vitalité Health Network reports on its progress

Vitalité Health Network – Wednesday, March 29, 2023 – Since June 2022, Vitalité Health Network has had more hires than departures and has succeeded in maintaining this momentum.

This encouraging trend reversal is the result of the continuous efforts undertaken over the past few months.

Today, the Network is releasing its quarterly report to the community, which portrays an organization in full transformation.

Some 37 strategic improvement projects are currently underway across our four zones, using a fast-track approach.

These solutions, developed with our teams on the ground, are designed to improve access to care, increase hospital performance, advance patient care and support recruitment and retention.

Highlights of the report include the following:

  • Progress made on access to mental health services;
  • Recruitment campaigns and settlement services for new health care workers;
  • Implementation of integrated crisis response services and additional staff in emergency departments;
  • Development of individualized care management;
  • Patient flow improvement projects at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC.

"We must reshape our health care system and prepare for the future together because the models that existed 100 years or even 10 years ago no longer meet today's needs," said Dr. France Desrosiers, President and CEO.

"I am extremely proud of our teams who show their dedication every day and are contributing to this major undertaking."
Vitalité has launched a series of initiatives designed to improve the employee experience and promote the health care professions. Its representatives are also meeting with the communities more often to tailor services to their needs.

"Listening must be our compass. Collaboration, our engine," says trustee Gérald Richard.

"Our challenges are complex and systemic and require us to rethink how we operate and how we deliver care together. We are certainly moving in the right direction, and we must continue on this path."
