General Info

The mission of the Greater Moncton Health Centre is to facilitate access to primary health care and improve people’s health in the Greater Moncton area.

The centre has six nurse practitioners whose role is to assess and promote health, make diagnoses and manage chronic health problems.

Visiting Hours

Visiting hours are the same in all the Network's hospitals.

General visiting hours

2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Two visitors at a time
  • Children under 12 years of age (special authorization) accompanied by an adult
  • General visiting hours do not apply to the Restigouche Hospital Centre

Special hours by unit/department

Intensive Care - Concentrated Care

  • 10 minutes per hour
  • Family members and significant others only

Obstetrics

  • Spouse and children: 24/7
  • Other visitors: 2 p.m. to 8 p.m

Palliative Care

  • Immediate family or significant others: 24/7
  • Other visitors: 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Pediatrics

  • Parents or subsitute: 24/7
  • Other visitors: 2 p.m. to 8 p.m

Psychiatry

  • Weekdays: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Weekends and holidays: 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Restigouche Hospital Centre

  • Family members and significant others:
  • Flexible hours according to the patient’s treatment plan
  • Forensic Unit:  Sundays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Arrangements must be made with the Nurse Manager or delegate for each unit at all times
How to get there

The Greater Moncton Health Centre is located at 150, Edmunton Avenue in Moncton.

There is free parking at the front and at the back of the building.

At your appointment, you will be given a ticket for free parking.

Our Team

The centre’s team includes nurse practitioners, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and administrative staff.

History

The centre opened its doors in May 2020 and is progressively expanding its services.
