Welcome, Annie Francoeur!

Vitalité Health Network is pleased to welcome Annie Francoeur as a nurse practitioner at the Haut Madawaska Medical Clinic.

Annie earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Université de Moncton in 2004 as well as a specialization diploma and a Master of Nursing – Nurse Practitioner from Université Laval in 2010. She worked as a registered nurse in the ER at Edmundston Regional Hospital from 2004 to 2010 and as a primary health care nurse practitioner in the Bas Saint Laurent region from 2010 to 2018. As a nurse practitioner in that region, she was a pioneer and her practice was highly varied. She practised in hospital emergency departments and in several local community health centres (CLSCs) and family medicine groups in the community. She also worked in a remote area with a vulnerable and aging population. She launched several projects to improve access to primary health care for people without a family doctor. Annie was also a lecturer at Université du Québec à Rimouski to train the next generation of nurses.

In her new role within the Network, Annie is focused on a collaborative practice with all professionals and members of the care team to provide access to quality health care. Patients and their families remain at the heart of her clinical decisions.

The clinic is only accepting patients who are on the Patient Connect NB (811) wait list. Due to the current pandemic, the majority of appointments are virtual. However, depending on the needs of certain patients, they are seen in person for a clinical assessment.

Welcome Annie! We wish you great success!
