COVID-19: visits by designated support persons temporarily suspended on many units in Vitalité Health Network Hospitals

Vitalité Health Network, Tuesday, January 4, 2022 – Vitalité Health Network advises the public that the presence of designated support persons is temporarily suspended in the following units due to a possible exposure to the COVID-19 virus or outbreak:

• Pediatric Unit (3D) – Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC, in Moncton (New)
• General Surgical Unit (4A) – Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC, in Moncton (New)
• Medical Unit (4C) – Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC, in Moncton (New)
• Intermediate Care Unit (4CSI) – Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC, in Moncton (New)
• Oncology Unit (4D) – Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC, in Moncton (New)
• Medical Unit – Enfant-Jésus RHSJ† Hospital, in Caraquet;
• Medical Unit – Edmundston Regional Hospital;
• Acute Psychiatry Unit – Restigouche Hospital;
• Medical Unit – Campbellton Regional Hospital;
• Surgical I Unit – Edmundston Regional Hospital;
• Multipurpose Unit – Grand Falls General Hospital;
• Surgical II Unit – Edmundston Regional Hospital;
• Extended Care Unit – Edmundston Regional Hospital;
• Veterans Unit – Campbellton Regional Hospital;
• Rehabilitation Unit (3F) – Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, in Moncton;
• Medical Unit - 2nd West – Chaleur Regional Hospital, in Bathurst;
• Intensive Care Unit – Chaleur Regional Hospital, in Bathurst.

These measures will be in place until further notice.

These temporary measures are in place to protect the health and safety of our patients, health care workers and community.
