Patients at the heart of Research activities
Participation in research
Patients can help support science and improve care by agreeing to:
- participate in clinical trials;
- participate in research and evaluation projects;
- become a research patient partner;
- donate samples of biological material to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre Biobank.
Patient contribution
When a patient agrees to take part in a research project, an evaluation project or a clinical trial, they participate directly in advanced research aimed at improving care. All biological samples and data collected from patients are securely stored at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in accordance with strict ethical criteria of confidentiality.
Become a research patient partner
Patient partners play an essential role in improving health care. Their unique experiences help guide research so that it better responds to real patient needs. At Vitalité Health Network, we value this perspective and offer patients the opportunity to actively participate in all stages of research, from project design to results analysis, including knowledge transfer and translation. In this way, patients are at the heart of all clinical decisions and activities.
