Respiratory Therapy

The Respiratory Therapy Department provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients of all ages with respiratory or cardiorespiratory disorders.

Respiratory therapists are important members of the care team (trauma, resuscitation, etc.) and work in these sectors:

  • Intensive care;
  • Neonatology;
  • Medicine, surgery, etc.;
  • Emergency;
  • Pulmonary Clinic.

Respiratory therapists are responsible for safe, effective artificial and manual ventilation. They work in collaboration with the medical and professional team, families, volunteers, and community organizations.
