Water line break at Dieppe’s Unité de médecine familiale (Family Medicine Unit)

Dieppe, le September 21 2016 – A water line break at Dieppe’s Unité de médecine familiale (Family Medicine Unit) has forced the cancellation of patient appointments.

The water line incident occurred during the night of September 20th. “We are in communications with the building’s owner in order to determine the extent of the damage and are working to prepare contingency plans to re-establish services”, said Unité de médecine familiale Director Dr. Marcel Roy.

Activities at the family medicine unit are suspended until Monday September 26th inclusively. “At that time, we will be in position to determine the duration for repair work and how we will proceed with the delivery of services”, said Dr. Roy.

Water damage impacted the first floor of the Unité de médecine familiale, which offers medical services on appointment on weekdays, walk-in services during weekday evenings and Saturday morning.

Patients with appointments this week were advised of the situation and will be assigned new appointments once services are re-established.

The clinic’s clients are asked to go to other walk-in clinics in the Greater Moncton area, call the 8-1-1 service or, for urgent situations, go to either of Moncton’s two hospital emergency services.

Management of the Unité de médecine familiale in Dieppe apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks the public in advance for its cooperation during this time.
