Vitalité Health Network saddened by the death of Dr. Daniel de Yturralde

Bathurst, March 25, 2016 – It is with great sadness that the management of Vitalité Health Network learned of the death of Dr. Daniel Yturralde, which occurred yesterday.

"All those who knew Dr. Yturralde during his long and distinguished career were strongly attached to this man," said the CEO of Vitalité Health Network, Mr. Gilles Lanteigne. "A pioneer, from the very beginning, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, his exceptional work as a builder and his exemplary contribution to the advancement of health care in New Brunswick, including the establishment of the Dr. Léon-Richard Oncology Centre in Moncton, are remarkable in every way."

Dr. de Yturralde was also a very committed person within his community. "A great humanist, he also had a passion to help others," said Mr. Lanteigne. "This is an invaluable loss not only to the medical staff of the Network but for the whole community."
