Visits suspended on the Internal Medicine and Telemetry Unit (4C) at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre

Vitaité Heath Network, Wednesday, November 30, 2022 – Vitalité Health Network would like to inform the public that visits are temporarily suspended on the Internal Medicine and Telemetry (4C) at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre (UHC), in Moncton.

The ban on patient visits applies to designated support persons (DSPs) as well as general visitors.  However, DSPs are permitted to be present for end-of-life patients.

This is due to the presence of Vancomycin-resistant Enterococci (VRE) in patients on that unit. This ban on visits will remain in place until further notice.

The Network apologizes for any inconvenience this situation may cause.
