Visits suspended on almost the entire 4th floor at Chaleur Regional Hospital

Bathurst, March 19, 2017 – The management of the Chaleur Regional Hospital would like to inform the public that visits are temporarily suspended on the 4th floor, with the exception of the Palliative Care Unit where patient families are still allowed.

This situation is due to a number of patients and staff experiencing gastroenteritis symptoms on that specific floor. The suspension will remain in effect until further notice.

The management of the Chaleur Regional Hospital asks that people with symptoms of gastroenteritis avoid coming to the hospital to visit inpatients until at least 48 hours after their symptoms have disappeared.

The management apologizes for any inconvenience this situation may cause.
