Visits partially suspended at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre

Moncton, February 16, 2015 – The management of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre informs the public that visits are suspended at the 3F Unit (Rehabilitation). This situation is due to confirmed influenza cases among patients within the unit.

As a precaution, citizens visiting patients in other units are asked to do the following:

  • Thoroughly wash their hands with soap and water or rubbing hands together with an alcohol-based gel for at least 15 seconds, this upon entering the hospital and upon leaving the patient’s room;
  • Proceed directly to their home upon leaving the hospital;
  • Avoid visiting patients if they are not feeling well.

The management of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
