St. Joseph Community Health Centre welcomes the public to its first open house

Dalhousie, January 19, 2018 – The St. Joseph Community Health Centre in Dalhousie is very proud to have welcomed around 100 people to its first open house, held yesterday. Presentations by various departments and clinics, as well as the guided tour, helped promote services offered in the Restigouche region. Staff on site took the opportunity to provide answers and useful information to visitors about various services, such as blood pressure and blood glucose testing.

This successful event was a joint effort by staff members, the Women's Auxiliary of the St. Joseph Community Health Centre and the Mouvement du mieux-être du Nouveau-Brunswick. Jacques Duclos, Vice-President of Community Services and Mental Health was very pleased with the efforts of the team members on site and the resulting success. “We care about people's health and wellness. The objective of this initiative was to promote the services offered at the centre and to make people more aware of them. We are pleased that a large number of people took advantage of this open house to learn more about the health care available in the area. This initiative fits perfectly with one of our strategic directions aimed at improving access to care and services, especially in rural areas.”

Dina Haché, Manager of Primary Health Care for the Restigouche Zone, is proud of the work that staff members perform and of the services they deliver. “We hold in high regard our health professionals, who are providing the people of our community with quality services. The mission of the St. Joseph Community Health Centre is to increase access to primary health care and to improve the overall health of our local population.”

Vitalité Health Network takes this opportunity to invite the people of Dalhousie and surrounding communities to come to the St. Joseph Community Health Centre to get the right service at the right time from the right professional and from a health facility close to their home.
