The Network requests the public’s assistance - Campbellton Regional Hospital

Campbellton, Friday, May 13, 2022 – Vitalité Health Network asks the public to limit their visits to the Emergency Department of the Campbellton Regional Hospital (CRH), except in urgent cases.  This temporary measure is needed due to a nursing shortage at the CRH.

In effect from Saturday, May 14 at 8 a.m. until Tuesday, May 17 at 8 a.m.

The Intensive Care and Emergency departments will be combined during this period to maintain the delivery of critical care services. Depending on how the situation evolves, some patients from the Intensive Care Unit of the CRH could be transferred to other Network facilities, depending on their state of health.

The Network requests the public’s support and assistance and asks people whose state of health is not critical to contact Tele-Care (811) or to consult their community pharmacist.

People who still come to the CRH Emergency Department for non-urgent reasons could be referred to another hospital or asked to come back the next day if their state of health allows.

The Network thanks the public for their valuable assistance and assures them that every effort is being made to maintain the quality of care despite this difficult situation.
