Network psychiatrist receives national award

Bathurst, September 25, 2019 – Vitalité Health Network recently learned that one of its physicians, Dr. Louis Thériault, Head of the Department of Psychiatry for the Beauséjour Zone and clinical professor in the Faculty of Medicine of the Université de Sherbrooke, has received a Mentor of the Year Award from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

According to the Royal College, mentorship is second nature to Dr. Thériault. He is described as being extremely effective at explaining things in layman’s terms and is recognized for his great human qualities. His natural talent for mentorship and his desire to help his colleagues progress explain why he has received this prestigious annual award.

His extensive knowledge and great humanity allow the Network to deliver excellence in its patient care continuum,” declared Dr. France Desrosiers, Vice-President of Medical Services, Training and Research.
