The Network asks the public to reduce traffic at the Emergency Department of the Chaleur Regional Hospital

Vitalité Health Network, Thursday, January 5, 2023 – Vitalité Health Network asks the public to reduce traffic at the Emergency Department of the Chaleur Regional Hospital, in Bathurst.

Longer wait times
People who come to the Emergency for non-urgent reasons should be patient and expect much longer than usual wait times. This is due to a high volume of patients in the Emergency Department and high bed occupancy rate in the facility.

The facility’s Emergency Department remains open. However, the Network is asking people whose health situation is not critical to see their family doctor or nurse practitioner, consult their community pharmacist or to contact Tele-Care (811) or eVisitNB.

Effective:
Thursday, January 5, 2023

The Network thanks the public for their valuable collaboration.
