Improved services at the Enfant-Jésus RHSJ† Hospital in Caraquet

Caraquet, June 9, 2014 – The Fondation Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus gave Vitalité Health Network a $75,000 cheque to help bring various projects to fruition. The money was collected through various fundraising activities held as part of its’ 2014 annual campaign.

With this money, Vitalité Health Network will be able to invest in various departments at the Enfant-Jésus RHSJ† Hospital, including the new Gynecology clinic, the Readaptation service, the Laboratory and in Respiratory Therapy.

“We are thrilled about the new equipment, as it will significantly improve the quality of services provided on the Acadian Peninsula,” said Stéphane Legacy, Chief of Operations for the Acadie-Bathurst Zone. “We are very grateful to the Fondation Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus for this donation, which is the result of hard work on the part of this organization,” continued Mr. Legacy. 

The annual campaign’s overall fundraising target had been set at $75,000. “I thank all donors who chose to join us in order to acquire the equipment presented this morning. The commitment of people in this community is simply remarkable and I am proud to note these individuals hold our establishment dear to their hearts. With their involvement, this morning’s investment will allow our organization to improve services provided by staff members of the Enfant-Jésus RHSJ†,” said Joseph Lanteigne, President of the 2014 Annual Fundraising Campaign of the Fondation Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus.

The cheque presentation ceremony and official unveiling took place today at the Enfant-Jésus RHSJ† Hospital in Caraquet with a number of guests and dignitaries in attendance.
