COVID-19: Vitalité Health Network asks to reduce visits to the Emergency Department at Hôtel-Dieu Saint-Joseph de Saint-Quentin

Saint-Quentin, Monday, September 6, 2021 – Vitalité Health Network asks that the people of Saint-Quentin and surrounding areas limit their visits to the Emergency Department of the Hôtel-Dieu Saint-Joseph de Saint-Quentin, except in cases of an emergency. This request is prompted by the COVID-19 outbreak that was declared by Provincial Public Health last Friday which is causing increased pressure on health care workers at the facility.

The facility’s Emergency Department remains available for people who need urgent care and who wish to see a doctor. However, the Network asks people whose health condition is not critical to see their family doctor, consult their community pharmacist, or call the Tele-Care service (811).

Those who nevertheless come to the Emergency Department for non-urgent reasons must be patient and expect longer than usual waits. The Network also reminds that visits to patients are prohibited until further notice at the Hôtel-Dieu Saint-Joseph de Saint-Quentin.

The Network thanks the public for their valuable cooperation.
