COVID-19: visits by designated support persons temporarily suspended on four additional units in Vitalité Health Network Hospitals

REVISED Vitalité Health Network, Thursday, December 30, 2021 – Vitalité Health Network advises the public that the presence of designated support persons is temporarily suspended in the four following four units due to a possible exposure to the COVID-19 virus:

  • Veterans Unit – Campbellton Regional Hospital;
  • Rehabilitation Unit (3F) – Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, in Moncton;
  • Medical Unit - 2nd West - Chalaeur Regional Hospital, in Bathurst;
  • Intensive Care Unit - Chaleur Regional Hospital, in Bathurst. 

These measures will be in place until further notice.

These temporary measures are in place to protect the health and safety of our patients, health care workers and community. The Network would like to remind the public that similar measures are still in effect at the Multipurpose Unit of the Grand Falls General Hospital and the Surgical II and Extended Care Units of the Edmundston Regional Hospital

We understand that families and friends find it difficult to be separated from their loved ones during the Holiday Season. We encourage people to use technology to stay in touch with our patients.
