Frequently asked questions

How and when to apply?

You must apply for the Network’s Residency Program in Pharmacy Practice through the matching service of the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists. Comprehensive information on the application process.

Start of registration period: August 2023

Is the program accredited?

We are currently in the official accreditation process with the Canadian Pharmacy Residency Board (CPRB). The program’s learning objectives have been developed based on the CPRB’s national standards.

We can offer you a unique, one-time opportunity associated with a new program, namely to actively develop numerous aspects of the residency program. This learning experience, so valuable for your career, will only happen once as part of this residency program.

Please also be aware that when accreditation is granted, it will be retroactive to the date the Network applied to the CPRB for accreditation. This means that you will be considered a graduate of an accredited residency program as soon as the Network receives its official accreditation.

What are the admission requirements?

  • Hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree and already be on the labour market, or be a student registered in the last year of a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program.
  • Meet the French-language requirements.
