Medical masks are mandatory for everyone's safety
Medical masks are mandatory for patients and visitors entering a Vitalité Health Network facility (exception, children less that 2 years of age). This directive is being implemented to ensure the safety of patients, visitors and staff and to minimize the risk of transmission of COVID-19.
Upon entry, all patients and visitors will be provided with a medical mask. They will be asked to remove their mask / face covering and put on a medical mask provided by the Network. Hand hygiene must be performed after taking off their mask / face covering and before putting on the medical mask. Hand hygiene must be performed again after putting on the medical mask.
Please note that no exemption from wearing a mask is allowed in order to gain access to Network facilities.
Admitted patients must wear a medical mask when circulating outside their rooms, except for long-term care / veteran patients who are on closed units.
