Volunteers

The hospital has around 20 volunteers who collaborate day after day with staff to improve the quality of patient services. In 2012, over 2,488 hours were invested in volunteering, not counting the hours of the many volunteers who sit on various committees. Volunteer activities have positive effects on patients’ lives.

Volunteers give all possible sorts of help. They provide services and organize activities that make it possible to buy equipment and meet other special needs. Some volunteers are also involved in activities like playing cards with patients, talking to them, etc.

Anyone interested in volunteering at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital can contact Charles Allain at 506-862-4541.
