The Pediatric Unit’s main purpose is to provide care to sick children.
The unit includes:
- Continuous monitoring module for premature infants starting at 34 weeks and for sick newborns;
- Pediatric intensive care bed.
The Pediatric Unit also has 12 beds and can accept adults in order to meet the needs of this population.
The unit also has two beds reserved for adolescents needing psychological care and support. Adolescents are cared for by a multidisciplinary team that arranges follow-up care in the community.
There is an outpatient pediatric clinic near the unit.
