The Chaleur Health Centre in Pointe-Verte offers certain professional services so that patients do not have to go to the Chaleur Regional Hospital.

Nursing services

Hours of operation: Monday to Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

  • Blood tests, on appointment on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
  • Blood pressure monitoring, no appointment
  • Vitamin B12 injections
  • Flu vaccinations
  • Dressings
  • Removal of sutures
  • First aid
  • Consultation with the nurse
  • Consultation with the nurse practitioner
  • Consultation with the doctor (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, mornings only)
  • Pap Test Clinic
  • Follow-up for diabetic patients by a nurse specialist once a month
  • Outpatient Clinic: dressing changes, suture removals, injections, etc.

 

Services of a nurse practitioner

Hours of operation: Monday to Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., on appointment only

  • Medical examinations and monitoring
  • Prescriptions
  • Referral to specialists
  • Care of patients with no family physician

 

Services of a physician

Hours of operation: On appointment only

  • Various medical care and minor surgeries
Visiting Hours

Community Health Centres offer out-patient services only. Visiting hours do not apply.
