Patients from Restigouche, Chaleur region and Acadian Peninsula to receive walk-in blood work services from hospitals

Bathurst, Thursday, December 20, 2018 – Walk-in phlebotomy (blood work) services will be available shortly in the communities of the Restigouche region as well as those of the Chaleur region and Acadian Peninsula starting January 14, 2019.

This new way of doing business, which is already in place in the Moncton, Edmundston, Grand Falls and Saint-Quentin areas, will significantly improve service delivery for patients. “We are constantly tailoring our care and services to meet people’s needs and circumstances. The Director of Laboratory Services, Yves Goudreau, explained that these services will be available to patients on an almost daily basis.  “Walk-in blood work services will operate every day of the week except for Monday and Tuesday mornings, since these days will be reserved for scheduled blood work services,” he explained.
